Attacking, defending, and the moment everything changes. Players learn to recognize opponents, create or deny advantages, and make decisions under pressure.

How We Train

More than an hour of training.

Each 60-minute session connects ball skills with game situations and decisions. Players practise noticing what is happening, trying an answer and adapting when it doesn’t work.

That is the work behind confidence and independence. We want players to enjoy the challenge, stay curious and want to come back—not just get through another set of drills.

01

See it.

Recognize the defender, the space, the pressure, and the opportunity.

02

Solve it.

Explore useful actions through repetition and changing challenges.

03

Own it.

Build the confidence to execute without waiting for instructions.

What that looks like in training

One defender. More than one answer.

For example, a player approaches a defender. Do they speed up, change direction or protect the ball? Change the defender’s position and the player has to look again, choose and try—not just copy a move.

Repeating the problem with a small change connects a skill to a decision. As a parent, you can watch what your child notices, the choice they make and how they respond when it doesn’t work.

Feet. Eyes. Brain.

Meet Your Coach

Jack Pocorobba

Still playing. Still learning. Happy to be coaching.

I played college soccer at Kutztown and Arcadia, competed on amateur teams that reached the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and represented the United States at the 2026 Senior World Cup in Thailand. Our Over-40 team finished third, and I earned Man of the Match in the third-place game.

I’ve been cut from a team, earned my way back, and played nearly every position. I know improvement takes work, and seeing the game from different perspectives makes you a better player.

That’s how I coach: compete, try things, make mistakes, and learn to solve problems yourself. I genuinely enjoy working with young players and seeing something finally click.

Why I built Apex

I built Apex to pass on a lifelong love of soccer. I want to develop excellent players—and help young people enjoy the game, trust their decisions and keep trying when something is difficult.

The best moments are when something clicks for a child. My dream is that they leave tired, happy and eager to play again, with something new they understand about the game.

The Coaching Relationship

Group intensity.
Individual attention.

Apex is built around seeing what each player needs, simplifying what matters, and creating the right challenges. The environment moves quickly, but the coaching remains personal.

A consistent developmental standard. Never a one-size-fits-all drill sheet.

Questions Before You Join

Good questions. Clear answers.

What will my child do at a session?

The Winter Pilot focuses on 1v1 attacking, defending, and the moment possession changes. Players work through repeated, changing game situations where recognizing space and making decisions matter as much as the ball skill itself.

How are players grouped?

Training begins with Fall 2026 soccer age groups: IGNITE (U8–U10), EVOLVE (U11–U13), and UNLEASH (typically U14+). Placement exceptions are subject to Apex coach review. Each session is limited to 25 players.

What if my child makes mistakes or is nervous?

Mistakes are expected. We aim to create a demanding but supportive training environment where players can try ideas, adjust, and gradually grow more confident making their own decisions.

Where do sessions take place?

The Winter Pilot is hosted at Space for Sports in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Check your session confirmation for any final arrival instructions.

How do session credits work?

A Single Session provides one credit and a Three-Session Pack provides three. After purchase confirmation, you can use available credits to reserve eligible sessions with space remaining. Winter training credits are intended for the December 2026–January 2027 pilot, which ends January 28, 2027. Unused access does not carry forward indefinitely.

What happens if we cancel a session?

For a Single Session, cancelling before the scheduled session begins restores the credit, provided it remains valid. For a Three-Session Pack, eligible cancellations restore the applicable credit for reuse during its validity period. Founding Winter Pass reservations cannot be voluntarily cancelled or released and rejoined.

Can I release a Founding Winter Pass date?

Once enrollment is confirmed, your place stays reserved for all 16 eligible dates, even when you cannot attend. Individual date release and rejoining are not offered during this pilot. Founding Winter Pass enrollment is not open yet.
